Don’t have enough time? Use these time-saving tips and home cleaning hacks to clean your house quicker, saving you your precious time.
1. Soak It Up
Spray the bathtubs, sinks, and toilets with water to begin your cleaning adventure. Remove any buildup by soaking the cleaner.
If you want to avoid spending a lot of time scrubbing, move on to another area while this soak.
2. Cleaning Your Ceiling Fans
This hack involves using an old pillowcase to wipe off fan blades. Simply drape the pillowcase over the blades, pull out the pillowcase, and wipe them off.
You can shake out the pillowcase in the trashcan or outside after the dust falls into it instead of on the floor. Brilliant!
3. Clean Your Cutting Board
In addition to being affordable and durable, plastic cutting boards are easily stained and odorized. Rub the cutting board with lemon juice (cut in half), after washing it with hot soapy water.

4. Use a Timer
Prior to cleaning, decide how much time you will spend on it. As you proceed, have smaller chunks of time – fifteen minutes to vacuum and a similar amount of time at the sink. As a result, you’ll work even harder now that you have a timed target. Also, knowing you’ll spend just 10 minutes on a task you hate – cleaning the bathroom for example – could make it easier for you to handle it.
5. Clean Your Windows Cheaper
DIY glass cleaners can save you money. The water in a bucket should be warm. Adding one teaspoon of dishwashing liquid and 100 ml of white vinegar will create a smooth mixture. This mixture can be applied directly from the bucket, if you’re cleaning a lot of windows. In any case, fill plastic spray bottles with the mixture so that it is ready for use later.
6. Clean Your Toilet
Try using a cleaner that is gentle on your toilet, instead of strong cleaners. Two denture tablets should be dropped into the bowl once a week for at least 20 minutes. After brushing and flushing the bowl, give it a quick wipe down. Brightening your toilet will leave it sparkling as well as your dentures.
7. Use the Right Washing Machine Settings
You may actually do more harm than good by setting your washer to a 40C cotton wash. Be sure that your washing machine is set to the correct setting. When using the washing machine, make sure you choose the appropriate settings. Fortunately, modern machines allow you to be extremely specific about what you are washing. Lightly soiled items are perfect for quick-wash.
8. Slow Down Your Washing Machine
By reducing your washing machine’s spin speed to 800 rpm, creases can be avoided and you can cut down on your ironing time. Shake the clothes after they have finished the cycle.
9. Buy Some Extra Basics
You can change bedding and launder sheets when you have time to launder at least two sets of sheets per person. Keeping cleaning products on each floor will also save you trips upstairs. For a bathroom shelf, place it high, away from young children.
