This Privacy Policy explains what information Active My Home (https://activemyhome.com, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit the site, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us
- Comments. When you leave a comment we collect the name, email address and website you enter, the comment itself, and your IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam.
- Contact messages. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
- Newsletter sign-up. If you subscribe, we collect your email address so we can send you updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring site, using cookies and similar technologies.
- Server logs and security. Our hosting provider and security tools process IP addresses and request data to keep the site running and to block spam and abuse.
Calculators
The measurements and numbers you type into our calculators are used to produce your result. We do not ask for your name or contact details to use them.
Cookies
We use cookies to remember comment form details if you choose that option, to measure site traffic through Google Analytics, and to protect the site from spam. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, although some features may not remember your preferences.

- CleanTalk (anti-spam checks on comments and forms).
- Gravatar. An anonymized string created from your email address may be sent to Gravatar to check whether you use it. Its privacy policy is at automattic.com/privacy.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its data.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
Embedded content and external links
Articles may include embedded content such as videos, or links to other websites. Those sites may collect data about you and use their own cookies. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
How long we keep information
Comments and their metadata are kept for as long as the comment remains on the site. Contact emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it is used. To make a request, contact us through our contact page. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
This site is intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
